From nature to the laboratory to supermarket shelves, FoodNavigator-USA takes a journey behind the scenes of flavor development. IFF flavorist Rich Dandrea tells us about his 20-year career in the industry.

Now working in the beverage sector, he said he first discovered a love of aromas at a beverage facility as a student - and nothing beats the excitement of seeing products containing flavors he has created on grocery store shelves.

Here is a snapshot of his best moments working in the industry.

Flavor Chemist- Creative Tasters!!!

I agree, it is one of the highlite of my career, when flavors end up on the grocery stores.

I even used my family as my dedicated tasters.there are plenty of sleepless nights on what I can do to get to the next "omps" of completing specific flavors.
