As expected, shareholders of food manufacturer Nestle (Malaysia). On Wednesday approved the sale of four units of the company and the payout of the proceeds as a special tax-free interim dividend, a spokeswoman for the company said.
Nestle (Malaysia) is selling two 100 per cent-owned units and another two companies held by its 100 per cent-owned unit Nestle Products Sdn. Bhd. for a total 37 million ringgit (€10m). The company has neither provided names for the units it sold, nor who has purchased them.
The company expects to pay the special tax-free dividend of MYR0.15 a share in October.
