Over two days, an upcoming conference in Paris will aim to help professionals in the food industry gain a better insight into the ongoing debate on food safety.
'Food: a new challenge after a century of progress' will be structured around four workshops presenting the concerns of scientists, manufacturers and consumers. Subjects to be tabled include the food chain, food science: trust and mistrust of consumers, the dissemination of alimentary knowledge, and finally, who influences the consumer selection?
Organised by the by the Scientific Association for Food Safety (SSHA ), with the support of the European Commission and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the event will take place on 17 and 18 June 2004.
