The style of agriculture that can best secure food supply in the future has been a topic of hot debate, especially since the food price hikes of 2008 put a fresh spotlight on how to feed a growing population using limited resources – and without having more of an impact on the environment.

A free-to-attend Food Supply Forum, to be held in Brussels on 26 November, will bring together some of the leading interlocutors on the subject: Which modes of agriculture best meet the food supply challenge?

The keynote speech will be delivered by Prof John Beddington, the UK government’s chief scientific advisor, and debate participants include Jacque de Puy, president of the European Crop Protection Agency, Peter Melchett, policy director of the Soil Association, Willy de Greef, secretary general of EuropaBio.
