Danone, Müller, Yoplait, Emmi, Lactalis Nestlé launch UK Yogurt Council
The Yogurt Council, which will be based in London, will be led by director Jo Sweetman.
It will work to raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of yogurt, and “provide credible information and advice about yogurt, leading to improved growth of the category.”
Commenting, Yogurt Council chairman, Richard Hall, said: “The industry recognised there has been no collective voice for yogurt’s benefits and the initial five members of the Yogurt Council very much hope membership will grow to represent other business over time.”
