The ‘Food, Feed and Bioenergy’ delegation’s visit was said to have been especially important to Danisco since it is in the process of increasing its activities in that market. Earlier this year it opened two new business units in Hyara, India: for functional systems for ice cream and, later, other dairy goods; and for enzymes.

"Food, feed and bioenergy are at the core of our business and with the potential in the Indian market, we are naturally interested in establishing contacts to build on our collaborations and research activities in the future," said Danisco CEO Tom Knutzen.
