UK-based food ingredient company, Braes Group, announced recently the £25million (€ 40.7m) acquisition of Overseal Foods, a UK supplier of natural colours.
According to the Braes Group, a new and rapidly growing natural food ingredients company, the acquisition was made to develop its existing product portfolio and to further drive its planned expansion in the food sector. Overseal, established in 1971, will continue to be led by the managing director, John Handley and the existing management team.
Foods has been acquired from RHM. The company produces natural colours for beverages, health foods and convenience foods. Investment group 3i backed Braes Groups' latest acquisition.
