Peter Boone, chief innovation officer for Barry Callebaut
Barry Callebaut has appointed ex-Unilever man Peter Boone as its new chief innovation officer.
Boone was appointed after his predecessor Hans Vriens quit the firm for ‘personal reasons’ after seven years with the company.
Dutch national Boone had spent 16 years with Unilever and previously served as its vice president marketing Australasia and sat on its regional executive board.
Barry Callebaut CEO Juergen Steinemann said: “I am happy Peter is joining us. He brings a best-in-class strategic marketing background in B-to-C business, and combines this with extensive experience also in B-to-B, innovation and gourmet areas.”
Boone will join Barry Callebaut's executive committee and will report directly to Steinemann.
