Speciality oils and fats producer Loders Croklaan on Tuesday evening won the Fi Europe Most Innovative Food Ingredient Award 2001 for Cotebar S, the company's new moisture barrier.
Loders products Cotebar A and Cotebar H have already been used in a limited range of applications , although applied to the baked product after baking. New product Cotebar S has the ability to move the Cotebar range into a broader area of application due to its resistance to baking. Target markets for Cotebar S are baked products, pizza, quiches.
